• Life would be fucking boring if nothing ever went wrong!
1. DIRTY и FILTHY. Обычно в сочетаниях с GREAT, BIG и RICH.
• There was a filthy great crab biting me on the tit! I ran screaming to the men’s room.
• I can't open the door. There's a dirty big mound of snow blocking it.
• In spite of being filthy rich, friends say he does not exactly lavish her with gifts.
• We just like to party. We're beautiful and dirty rich.
FILTHY DIRTY:
• Can I go to the cops and say: “Hey, someone’s been in my house, and they have left a filthy dirty sweaty pair of men’s socks in this place”? No, I can’t.
2. STINKING.
• I'm deeply hurt that he will never enter my life in person again, but I'm so stinking happy that I got to know him.
• I hate this stinking boring job!
• This was a stinking rotten election fought under shameful rules.
• They live in a huge, showy house that screams, “We're stinking rich!”
• I'm a fat stinking drunk because my father is a fat stinking drunk.
3. DEAD.
• He's won three lottery prizes this year. He's dead lucky.
• The whole job was so dead easy, Frank did it with one hand.
• I am dead certain we have the talent needed for winning in the Olympic games
• John's description of it is both unusually amusing and absolutely dead accurate.
• She's wicked hot! (I'd hit her ass).
• I always wear kneepads, but the other day I took a wicked bad spill and nearly broke my arm.
• These sweatpants are super soft, and look wicked cute when tucked into your Uggs!
BIG OLD:
• When I was 10, I went to a store and bought a big old bottle of apple wine and drank it by myself until I threw up.
• Tina got a big ol’ butt, so I'm leavin' you.
• It sounds like a crazy-ass idea.
• He who has the big-ass gun makes the rules.
7. И, наконец, модификаторы GOOD AND… и NICE AND…
• He doesn't insist on the whole vegetable-meat-fish-eggs aspect of eating, saying I'll get around to that when I'm good and ready (= absolutely ready) for it.
• As for that swab, he's good and dead (= utterly dead), he is.
с NICE AND…
• The orange is nice and juicy.
• The soup is nice and hot.
• You’ll be nice and ill in the morning.
